Alcoholic jailed for repeatedly claiming to be Nicki Minaj

ONE OF A KIND: A British man has been jailed for four months after calling emergency services claiming that he's Nicki Minaj

AN IRISH man has been jailed for four months after breaking an Anti Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) by repeatedly making non-emergency calls to 999 and pretending to be rapper Nicky Minaj.

Stephen Brown, 24, of Crumlin, Northern Ireland, was branded a “nuisance” by the judge at Antrim County Court, and was told his actions could lead to those who needed help from the emergency services not receiving it, Belfast Live reported.

His defence lawyer, Aaron Thompson, described Brown as a chronic alcoholic and “his own worst enemy” during the hearing, the newspaper reported.

While this normally wouldn't be a critical offense, 24 year-old Stephen Brown's claims were part of a string of calls made to the emergency phone service earlier this year.

He previously called emergency services claiming that two men were attacking him before hanging up and calling back saying he wanted to cancel the first call, that he was the hip-hop superstar and that there was a poltergeist in his house.

Brown is still banned from making any more emergency calls unless he is in an actual emergency, Yahoo reported.
