Balotelli is the ‘little n*****’ of the Berlusconi family

RACE STORM: Milan's vice-president racially demeaned Balotelli

THE YOUNGER brother of AC Milan president and former Italian president Silvio Berlusconi has provoked yet another racism controversy after he called Mario Balotelli “negretto di famiglia” – which translates as “the family’s little nig*er”.

Paolo Berlusconi, who is Milan’s vice-president, made the comments during a political meeting in Monza, near Milan. His choice of words was recorded on video by local reporters present at the event, a party rally for a right-wing People of Freedom candidate – the political party of his older brother.

The controversial comments were said in this context: “Okay, we are all off to see the family's little n****. He's a crazy head. All the young ladies are invited as well – you can even have a chance to meet the president (Silvio Berlusconi).”

Such remarks come after the recent incident involving Milan’s midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng, who walked off the pitch during a friendly match last month when rival fans racially abused him. The Milan president commended Boateng for his actions.

Meanwhile, Balotelli, who will be accustomed to off-field controversies thanks to his eventful spell with Manchester City, began his Milan career well on the pitch – the 22-year-old striker scored twice on his debut against Udineses last weekend.
