Beyonce, Solange and more nominated for 2017 BET Awards

HEAD TO HEAD: Beyonce and Solange are both nominated at the 2017 BET Awards

BEYONCE AND Solange are both nominationed for multiple BET awards, and will compete with each other for some top prizes.

The pregnant Formation singer – who's leading with seven nominations – and her younger sister are both nominated for video of the year and best female R&B/pop artist.

Solange is nominated for her critically acclaimed 2016 album A Seat At The Table, which went to number one in the United States.

Queen Bey, who won video of the year with Formation last year, is nominated for the top prize again for Sorry.

She will go against Solange's Cranes In the Sky, Bruno Mars' 24K Magic, Migos' Bad and Boujee and Big Sean's Bounce Back.

Bruno Mars follows Beyonce with five nominations, while Solange has four.

Mars is also nominated for best male R&B/pop artist, album of the year, the viewer's choice award and video director of the year.

Chance the Rapper will face Lamar, Drake, J Cole, Future and Big Sean for best male hip-hop artist, while Nicki Minaj will compete with former rival Remy Ma for best female hip-hop artist.

The winners in the 19 categories will be selected by BET's Voting Academy, comprised of entertainment professionals and fans, and the ceremony will take place on 25 June in Los Angeles.
