ACCUSED: Bishop Eddie Long
ONE OF five men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual misconduct has blamed the pastors alleged abuse for his recent drug conviction.
Jamal Parris, who was sentenced to a year of probation after he was found in possession of 181 grams of marijuana carrying an estimated $1,000 dollars street value, said his alleged abuse at the hands of the mega church pastor was to blame.
"You caught me with bud? Look at the sign of sexual abuse victims. What’s the very first sign on any website you’ll see? Alcoholism drug abuse," the 24-year-old said in a recent interview.
ACCUSER: Jamal Parris
Parris claims that he had never intended to deal the drugs, but instead was carrying them on his person for personal use to help him come to terms with the incident, according to reports.
It is believed that Bishop Long settled a reputed $15 million lawsuit out of court with the accusers, who claimed that he seduced them all into a sexual relationship.
Arresting Officer Sergeat Seth Dubinsky, who stopped Parris in his brand new white BMW on June 3, told the Atlanta Post: "He kept telling me he bought it with the settlement money."
