STARS ACROSS film, music, social media and more descended upon Hammersmith Apollo for one of the most anticipated movie premieres of the year, as Black Panther made its way to London.

Cast including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita N'yongo, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, director Ryan Coogler and more showed up to the excitement of fans who lined up outside the theatre for a chance to get a glimpse of the stars.

"This represents the future and that's all that matters at the end of the day," said director Ryan Coogler, who spoke to The Voice at the premiere.

Lupita N'yongo, who plays Nakia said: "This is a moment that we're seeing this kind of film at this kind of scale. It's a fantasy movie for us to dream of a different kind of world.

"Often times, that doesn't necessarily include people of colour at the fore so this is really important in terms of reconditioning our subconscious."

Speaking on his work ethic and admiration for director Ryan Cooler to The Voice, Michael B. Jordan commented: "He's a genius - at 30 years old to be able to tell and craft a story and say something that makes everyone feel included is amazing."

Other stars who showed their support included actor John Boyega, rappers Stormzy and Ghetts, Leona Lewis, boxer Tony Bellew plus more.

Black Panther, based on the Marvel Comics, is set after the events in Captain America: Civil War.

King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns to the fictional land of Wakanda but when his land comes under threat, he finds himself teaming up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) and the Dora Milaje female forces unit to prevent war.
