TOP OF THE POPS: Singer Chris Brown
FOLLOWING THE release of his latest album, X, Chris Brown has bounded to the top of Billboard Artist 100.
The Artist 100 provides the first weekly ranking dedicated to measuring artist activity across Billboard's most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, Billboard 200 albums chart and the Social 50.
The Artist 100 blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Pleased with his new ranking, Brown, 25, posted a screen shot of the Billboard article on his Instagram page. The caption said: "Thank you team breezy!"
Brown's new album is currently No.4 in the UK Officials Charts and No.2 in the Billboards - behind Barbra Streisand.
X, which was released on September 16, features Brown's hit songs Loyal and New Flame which features Usher.
The singer, who has been nominated for a Music of Black Origin (MOBO) award in the best international act category, also posted voting details for the MOBO nod on Instagram.
