Clothes Show brings inspiring women together

OLYMPIANS: Rebecca and Ellie Downie (right)

INSPIRING WOMEN from across the creative industry will be sharing their remarkable career journeys with visitors to the show this December, offering exclusive insights, tips and advice for the thousands of budding students in attendance.

Team GB’s much-loved duo, Rebecca and Ellie Downie, will reveal the hard work and dedication that took the gymnast sisters all the way to Rio 2016.

As one of Britain’s greatest ever gymnasts, Becky Downie has a string of national and international titles to her name, and is both a mentor and leader of the British women’s artistic gymnastics team.

Younger sister Ellie is the most promising British female gymnast of her generation. Her breakthrough year came in 2014, aged just 15, when she took four individual medals at the Youth Olympic Games in China, to add to the gold, silver and bronze from the European Junior Championships earlier that year.

The Downie’s will be joined by leading ladies including Professor Caryn Franklin MBE; WAH London founder Sharmadean Reid; Editor-in-Chief of GLAMOUR, Jo Elvin; Cosmopolitan’s Beauty Director Ingeborg van Lotringen; Fabulous’ Fashion Editor, Lynne McKenna and blogger and body confidence campaigner Grace Victory.

As well as hosting the UK’s most inspiring women, The Clothes Show will house fashion experts, non- stop catwalks, A-list celebrities, educational insights and exclusive interviews.

The show also welcomes over 350 leading fashion and beauty brands, stylish bars and onstage demonstrations. All tickets include a seat in the iconic Alcatel Fashion Theatre for a mesmerising performance of fashion, live music and dance.

The Downie sisters will be at the show on Sunday, December 4 taking part in a Q&A on the Expert Studio.
