A TALENT showcase established as a platform to celebrate hardworking and gifted Ghanaians living in the UK will be held next month.

The Ghana UK Based Awards (GUBA) which were created five years ago will take place at the Park Plaza Hotel, southeast London on November 16.

The event has won the backing of Hackney and Stoke Newington MP Diane Abbott.

Abbott, whose son studied in Ghana for a year, was present at the House of Commons on September 5 to officially launch this year’s show.

She said: “I believe in multicultural Britain, and award ceremonies like this that show the best of multicultural Britain.”
