AN EVENT to celebrate Windrush will be taking place June 21.

Windrush: An evening of inspiration and celebration will commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Empire Windrush arrival.

The event will include a tribute to the late Asquith Gibbes and include contriubtions from Windrush passenger Dorinda Hulton, Mayor of Leiwsham Damien Egan, Windrush Foundation's Arthur Torrington, Deputy High Commissioner of Jamaica Angella Rose-Howell plus more.
