Evra proceeds with racism investigation

AGGRIEVED: Evra (right) claims that Suarez (left) racially abused him

MANCHESTER UNITED manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that left-back Patrice Evra will pursue with his racism allegations against Uruguay forward Luis Suarez.

The alleged racial taunting took place after Saturday’s (October 15) game at Anfield where United drew 1-1 with Liverpool. The two players clashed several times during the match.

While Suarez denies the claims Ferguson said that former France captain Evra will persist with the issue.

"I've spoken to Patrice. He is adamant he wants to follow it," said Ferguson.

“Obviously Patrice feels aggrieved at what was said to him. It rests in the hands of the FA now."
