BREXIT BETRAYAL: Gina Miller says politicians and the media are letting down the public on the issue

THE BUSINESSWOMAN who led a historic legal challenge that now means Britain cannot leave Europe without consulting parliament has told The Voice that the politicians and the media who have been critical of the decision are “cowards” who are misleading the public.

London-based investment manager Gina Miller was the lead claimant in a lawsuit which was presented to the High Court last week.

The High Court judges agreed with her legal challenge to Theresa May’s plans to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty without seeking approval from Parliament.

The decision has been described in some sections of the media as a betrayal of Brexit.

But in an exclusive interview with The Voice, published tomorrow (Thursday November 10) Miller says she expected much of the negative reaction that has occurred since the judges made their decision as well as the flood of online abuse she has received but claimed that the media and politicians who led the criticism are guilty of betraying the public.

She said: “What they are doing is intellectually and morally dishonest. They don’t have the guts to be brave and stand up and understand what this case is about and as far I’m concerned they are cowards.”
