BAD NEWS: Halle Berry

HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS Halle Berry has been denied permission to move her daughter to France, after losing a long bitter custody battle to her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey.

A judge made the ruling final last Friday [Nov 9] despite claims from the 46-year-old, who is engaged with French actor Olivier Martinez, that the move was to ensure a 'safer life' for Nahla.

She told InStyle magazine: "It's the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. I don't want her to grow up around the tabloids.

“Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she's special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender."

Aubry had previously stated that he felt like the move was designed to keep him from seeing his daughter, before taking the matter to court.

Aubry has yet to make a public statement on the judgement.
