WEDDING: Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez

HALLE BERRY’S engagement to fellow actor Olivier Martinez was apparently confirmed by singer Kylie Minogue yesterday.

The Spinning Around star, who dated Martinez for five years before their split in 2007, took to her Twitter page to congratulate the couple.

She wrote: “Congrats to Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry!! #wedding”

Martinez, 46, is said to have proposed to Halle, 45, during the Christmas break with an emerald-and-diamond ring from Gurhan.

Although the couple are yet to make an official announcement, Halle has been pictured wearing a ring on her wedding finger - turned around to just look like a plain band.

However, the Monsters Ball actress gave photographers a glimpse of the stunning stone during an outing in LA yesterday.

The pair first met while working together on the film Dark Tide; they emerged as new couple in the autumn of 2010.

A source told US Weekly that Halle, who has been married twice before and has a three-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, had no plans to wed when she first started dating the French actor.

They said: “[Halle] had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He's a keeper.”
