Image released of man wanted for Luton murder

WANTED: Police released footage of this man wanted for questioning in connection with a murder

POLICE HAVE released CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Luton.

20-year-old Jordan Maguire was found on May 26 dying at his home in Thrales Close - he was pronounced dead later at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

The footage of the wanted man shows him buying goods at a shop in Marsh Farm, approximately three hours before the stabbing.

The man is also believed to be the same man who was seen pushing a light-coloured bicycle in other footage issued last week, police believe.

The suspect is seen in a Nisa store wearing sunglasses, and police have said they hold the theory that he lives locally or has local connections.

Investigating officer, detective inspector John Arthur, said: "Someone must know who this man is.

"He's clearly been around on the estate for at least three hours on the afternoon of bank holiday Sunday."

"We do need to speak with him so if you know him, please do not approach him but contact the police", he added.

Police have been around the neighbourhood distributing leaflets with the suspect printed on them, in the hope locals will be able to identify him.
