Jus' Caribbean Food and Drink Festival set for August 2017

LAUNCH: Ladies dressed in Carnival costume outfits signal the launch of the Grace Foods Caribbean Food and Drink Conference and Jus’ Caribbean Festival at the Lambeth College, Clapham Common.

CaribDirect Multi-Media has teamed up with Grace Foods UK to host the first ever Caribbean Food and Drink Conference and Jus’ Caribbean Festival in London next August 2017.

The Grace Foods Caribbean Food and Drink Conference will be held on Friday, August 18 while the Grace Foods UK Jus’ Caribbean Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 19 and 20 respectively. A pre-launch for the events was held recently at the Lambeth College, Clapham Common, south London.

The food and drink conference and two-day festival is a follow-up to CaribDirect’s earlier Food and Drink Festival held at Windrush Square, Brixton in south London in 2015. However, the outdoor event has been modified to appeal to a more British and European audience, essentially selling the Caribbean to Europe and rebranding as Jus’ Caribbean Festival.

CaribDirect Multi-Media CEO David F. Roberts speaking at the launch

Describing the collaboration with Grace Foods UK as a perfect blend, CaribDirect Multi-Media CEO David F. Roberts said: “This joint venture of the conference and festival will be benefiting from CaribDirect Multi-Media’s growing online influence in the global Caribbean space and Grace Foods UK’s prominence in the global Caribbean food and drink market. This relationship is intended to create the largest and most relevant Caribbean food and drink event in the United Kingdom for one and all to enjoy.”

This will provide untold benefits to small and medium size Caribbean businesses wanting to access the UK market as well as Caribbean businesses in the Diaspora wanting to trade or invest in the Caribbean. The very best of the Caribbean in terms of its culture food, drink, music, dance and the many other characteristics that make the Caribbean unique including our love for laughter and comedy, will be showcased, Roberts said.

Grace Foods UK Head of Marketing Nyree Chambers commented: “We are delighted to be closely associated with an event that will showcase the very best of Caribbean culture, food and drink and highlight the opportunities for businesses wishing to access one of the most dynamic sectors of the UK’s buoyant food and drink market.”

CaribDirect Multi-Media Limited uses information, education, entertainment and business as the principal media to engage the UK Caribbean Diaspora about matters critical to the development of Caribbean people on both sides of the Atlantic while connecting the community with trade and investment.
