KARRUECHE TRAN has been granted a full restraining order against her ex Chris Brown.

The 29-year-old had sought for months to have a temporary order made permanent, after he made threats of violence against her.

According to TMZ, after the actress testified on Thursday (June 15), a judge ruled the restraining order remain in place for five years.

In her testimony, the Claws star claimed that after they broke up, Brown demanded she return diamond rings he bought her; when she refused he became aggressive.

She claimed he texted her threatening messages such as: 'I'm not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I'm there I will make you hate me even more, don't be anywhere I'm out in public, I'm going to ban you from all events.'

She claims he also texted her: 'B*tch I will beat the s**t out of you'; and 'I promise you I will make your life hell'; and 'I can get my money back and I'm tired of playing games,' the site reported.

Brown wasn't in court on Thursday; the judge had refused his request to join the hearing via phone.

Brown has a history of violent behavior against partners, after attacking ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
