Krept and Konan's The Long Way Home album makes rap history

MAKING HISTORY: (From right) Krept and Konan

UK DOUBLE act Krept and Konan have made history once again with their new album, The Long Way Home.

Krept and Konan's, hit album reached No.2 in the chart – the highest charting UK rap album in history.

On hearing the news, Krept wrote on Instagram: "HISTORY!!! TAKE THAT IN!!!!"

The London duo, both 25, released their highly-anticipated album last week.

Fans were so eager to get their hands on the boy's work, that the album reached No.2 on the iTunes charts and topped the iTunes hip-hop chart based on pre-orders alone back in March - four months before it was due to drop.

The duo, who teamed up 10 years ago, are no strangers to record breaking.

They hold the Guinness World Record for the highest-charting UK album by an unsigned act for their mixtape Young Kingz. It charted at No.19 in the Top 40 Official Albums Charts UK on in September 2013.
