CHART CLIMBING: (From right) Krept and Konan
SOUTH LONDON rap duo Krept & Konan's debut album has almost topped the iTunes chart on pre-orders alone.
The unreleased record, The Long Way Home, is currently sitting at Number 2 in the iTunes charts - ahead of Kendrick Lemar's To Pimp a Butterfly and Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour.
On Instagram, Krept wrote: "We are still climbing and it's only pre orders."
It is already top of the iTunes hip-hop chart.
In another excited post, Krept added: "God is good trust me!!"
The 19-track album, which will be released in the summer, is the duo's first album since they signed a record deal with Virgin EMI in 2013.
"The love has been overwhelming especially on Twitter and from our family and friends,” Krept said of the support they have received since signing to Virgin.
“Having artists’ showing their support and saying congratulations, that’s industry love right there. It is only going to get bigger and better, however we don’t want to get complacent. We just want to keep striving.”
The highly-anticipated album, set for release in July 2015, will also feature vocals from Emeli Sandé, Skepta, Ed Sheeran, Rick Ross and YG.
