ABUSED: Victor Anichebe
AT WEST London Magistrates’ Court on January 21, an Everton supporter was found guilty of racially abusing two Premier League footballers in front of his grandson, children and wife.
William Blything, 42, hurled abuse at his club’s own player, Victor Anichebe, and Queens Park Rangers captain Park Ji-Sung at Loftus Road on October 21.
Witnesses stated that Blything – who has been barred from all Everton games prior to sentencing – called Nigerian international Anichebe a “f**king black monkey” and shouted “take down that c**nk”, in reference to former South Korea international Ji-Sung
Blything, from Wavertree, Liverpool, was arrested after two Everton fans reported him to stewards when the game was finished.
He denied a single count of racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm, or distress but was found guilty at court and is scheduled for sentencing on February 11.
