CONFESSION: Isaiah Kalebu admits to rape and murder
A MAN that confessed to the rape and stabbing of a lesbian couple, claims that God told him to do it.
Isaiah Kalebu, allegedly broke into the couple’s home in July 2009, and tortured and raped the women in a 90 minute attack.
One of the victims, Teresa Butz, 39, died after being repeatedly stabbed, while her 36-year-old partner survived and identified Kalebu as the attacker.
The 25 year-old faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree rape and first-degree burglary.
It has been reported that despite making an initial not guilty plea, Kalebu, told the jury in his trail: “I was there and I was told by my God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to attack my enemies, and I did so.”
Kalebu, who has a history of mental illness, had to be restrained in the Seattle court and took the stand in a wheelchair, and was wearing oversized gloves designed to stop him from swallowing objects.
If convicted, he faces life in prison.
