Man stabbed in attempted robbery

ROBBERY: No arrests have been made

A MAN was stabbed repeatedly by a stranger in north London in a botched robbery.

The victim had been walking along Bounds Green Road towards High Road when he was approached by the suspect who asked what he had in his bag.

He showed him the contents and was stabbed several times by the suspect, described as a black man aged in his 30s, who made off when members of the public intervened.

The unnamed man was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The suspect is described as being about 5ft 10inch tall, with short black hair, wearing a red jacket and dark trousers.

There have been no arrests, but police will carry out an appeal in the area later today (July 27).
