Mel B's daughter files charges against her dad

SINGER Mel B's daughter, Phoenix Chi, 12, is alleged to have reported her father to the police after he refused to let her leave his home, it has been reported.

The former Spice Girl has primary custody of the 12-year-old which allows ex husband Jimmy Gulzar, visitation rights four times a month, according to the court papers.

American gossip site, Radar Online is now reporting that trouble started on October 11 when Gulzar refused Phoenx to leave his house after her montly visit.

"The cops had to be called to enforce the court order, which states that Mel has primary custody of Phoenix. There was a stand off for several hours. When it became clear that Gulzar wasn't going to turn Phoenix over, LAPD responded and told Jimmy he had to allow his daughter to leave his apartment," a source is reported as saying to the site.

It is further reported that once the girl, who was visibly upset, had come out, she was taken to the police station where she filed a report.

"Victim is suspect's daughter. Suspect has visitation rights with daughter. When daughter attempted to leave suspect's house to return to mother's home, suspect grabbed victim's arm refusing to let her leave," the police report allegedly states.

Mel B who is now married to producer Stephen Belafonte, was married to dancer Gulzar for two years.
