REPLACEMENT: NeNe Leakes (left) is reportedly going to take on Joan River's (right) role as host of E!'s Fashion Police

THE REAL Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is at the front of the line to replace the late Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police, according to reports.

A source on Perez Hilton said the actress is now getting serious consideration because she has great comic timing — and also, E! is "looking to diversify their panel with a different ethnicity".

After Rivers passed away earlier this month, there was speculation on whether the show would continue.

But E! confirmed that River's Fashion Police legacy would live on. In a statement to Radar, the network announced the show would return to air — but not until next year.

The network said it’s what the comic legend, whose daughter Melissa Rivers is a Fashion Police producer, would have wanted.

However, fellow Fashion Police co-host, Kelly Osbourne, “feels that it is pointless to continue on with the show".

According to reports, the 29-year-old said that "anyone that you try replace Joan Rivers with will fail miserably.”

Not just an actress and comic, Leakes, real name Linnethia Leakes, 46, launched a clothing line for HSN. Most of the clothes in her NeNe Leakes collection sold out in one day.
