MUSIC MOGUL P Diddy has blasted Hollywood for what he sees as a lack of diversity in major Hollywood movies, claiming that just "one or two black people" are cast in major pictures.

The Bad Boy for Life star called out the film industry for not seeing the world how it really is in an Instagram video he posted earlier this week featuring award ceremony acceptance speeches from Halle Berry, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Oprah Winfrey and Steve McQueen.

In the caption, he wrote: “As we celebrate our great African American thespians we would also like to take this moment to tell Hollywood wake up! The movies that you make don’t look like how the world really is. YALL still putting one or two black people in the movie!”

The 45-year-old added: “So on this black history month [February, US] we want to tell Hollywood we don’t really like that s**t, Because that’s not the way the world really is and YALL think nobody knows the black man oversees!! So dear Hollywood could you please open your eyes and see #Blackhistory #Blackhistorymonth#Allblackeverything.”

His fans seemed to agree with him, as the video had over 39,000 'likes' and over 1,400 comments.

One Insta user said: "YOU are so right. hollywood does not project the reality of the world. People of colour are all over the world and [the] film industry needs to recognise that."

Another joked: "I've boycotted the cinema industry years ago. I support my local African bootlegger. At lease I know my money is going back to the motherland and not the other man!"
