CENTRE OF ATTENTION: Oritsé Williams mingles with fans at the MOBO Awards last month

SUNDAY NEWSPAPERS are alight with reports on the arrest of former boy band member Oritsé ­Williams, who is being investigated by West Midlands Police after a rape allegation.

The alleged victim reported that she met the now-solo singer who found fame in 2008 with JLS former band mates on the X-Factor at a performance in a Wolverhampton nightclub. The 20 year-old who is believed to be a waitress, claims that she and a friend accepted an invite to Williams' hotel room last week, where another man was present. Police were called to the hotel the morning after the foursome met, according to a public statement from the force.

CCTV footage from the nightclub show the accuser and her friend speaking with Williams and the other man in question, who is also under suspicion.

The pair have been bailed until February 2017 whilst evidence is gathered.

Williams is father to a two year-old son.
