Rapper Mist 'recovering well' after reported shooting

MIST HAS thanked his fans for their well wishes following reports that he was shot in the leg in Portugal.

The Birmingham rapper, who was hospitalised after the incident has since been discharged.

Two intruders broke into the villa he was staying in in the Algarve and stole his passport, phones and jewellery, according to reports.

The incident took place at around 10pm local time on Tuesday (August 27).

The Evening Standard reported that on Wednesday a spokesman for the main Faro hospital, the Centro Hospitalar Universitario do Algarve said: “The patient has been discharged this morning and has already left the hospital.”

Mist, whose real name is Rhys Thomas Sylvester, published a post on social media to show his appreciation.

On Instagram, the MOBO-winning rapper shared an update with his supporters today.

“Received the maddest love in the last 2 days! Thank you everyone for having me in your prayers and sending your messages.”

In the post, accompanied by an image which only showed Mist’s upper body, he did not confirm whether or not he had been shot but assured fans that he was ready to make more music.

He added: “Moments like this make you realise what’s important! I’m here, recovering well, ready to make more hits! Your karlas back in full action, nothin [sic] can hold me down! Sticks and stones might break your bones but this karlas back and active! #whatdosentkillyoumakesyoustronger.”

One fan said: “Glad your back on track bro f*** them haters [they're] just [traitors] fakes turn to snakes bro. Facts of life bruv glad your okay bro.”

“God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers never forget that,” another commented.
