REGINA HALL takes centre stage in Malcolm D. Lee's comedy with heart, 'Girls Trip', after endearing audiences with respectable high-profile supporting roles in About Last Night, Think Like A Man and Scary Movie to name a few.

Hall's lead character is popular author Ryan Pierce, who is married to Stewart, played by Luke Cage star Mike Colter, who has audiences jeering at his shady ways whilst cheering on Ryan who tries to hold it all together for the sake of their "brand". Hall applies the perfect amount of tension for Ryan as she admirably walks the tightrope of trying to keep-up appearances with friends and fans alike, amidst the odd private meltdown and a genuine desire to be happy' all whilst acting as the peacemaker of her motley crew.

The crew in question is a star-studded one - Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett and big-screen newcomer Tiffany Haddish inspire plenty of raucous laughter as the friends navigate their way through New Orleans at the Essence Music Festival; fuelled by alcohol, more than one instance of public urination and of course; girlie heart-to-hearts.

Larenz Tate, who appears to be just as baby-faced as he was in Love Jones pops-up in more than a few scenes in a 'will they/won't they' love affair side plot.

A pacey and thoroughly enjoyable comedic take on the myriad struggles women face as they attempt to convince themselves and eachother that they can 'have it all'' Girls Trip offers more than laughs with genuine tender moments where friendship, honesty and learning to build one's self-worth prevails.
