SUCCESS: Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené

FOLLOWING THE success of their debut book Slay In Your Lane: A Black Girl's Bible, authors Yomi Adegoke and Elizabeth Uviebinené have announced that they'll be publishing their second book in spring 2019.

The follow-upeffort from the black British authors, Slay in Your Lane Presents: Loud Black Girls, The Anthology will feature the diverse voices of over 20 black British women, both established and emerging, The Bookseller reports.

According to Lagom, contributors have been given an open brief to write about whatever they want, "so readers can expect frank, funny and fearless contributions about what matters to black women today, from a range of prominent voices".

Sharing the news on Twitter, Adegoke and Uviebinené said: "'SLAY IN YOUR LANE presents: Loud Black Girls, The Anthology' will feature 21 emerging and established Black British female writers and we will be holding a competition to find the 21st, so get writing."

The duo added: "As part of publication, @bonnierbooks_uk is also offering a four-month editorial internship in collaboration with @_CreativeAccess! The successful candidate will start in November and work with the publishing team full-time, assisting with the publication of the book!

Slay In Your Lane: A Black Girl's Bible has received both critical and commercial success for its frank and honest representation of life, love, success and more for black British women.
