LIGHTING UP: Snoop Dogg with son Corde smoking from a pipe

SNOOP DOGG has reportedly blasted critics who questioned his parenting abilities after he was snapped 'smoking weed' with his son.

The Sweat hit-maker defended images of him and his son Corde Broadus released on Twitter showing the pair smoking what appears to be cannabis, claiming he can 'do what he wants.'

According to Newsone in a recent interview Snoop reportedly said: “My kids can do whatever the hell they want. For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf***ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk."

"Me and my son is mellow. I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me," he added.

The news comes after the hip-hop star changed his name to 'Snoop Lion' to launch a career as a reggae singer.

Snoop will release a new reggae album calledReincarnated, which was executively produced by, Diplo of Major Lazer, whom has also worked with dancehall star's Vybz Kartel and Mr Vegas.
