THE VOICE have been following upcoming carnival band Vibrance’s progression for the last three years and now they’re stepping out on their own at the 2019 Notting Hill Carnival.

Their unique 2019 costume collection, influenced by the eco-systems of the Amazon rainforest with an emphasis on connection and togetherness, were on display last week as the countdown to London‘s biggest street party begins.

The costumes are a fusion of traditional and modern mas. Vibrance Creative Director Cee Bolakee was overwhelmed with the positive response to her new designs.

“We’ve had people come to this event from all over London, across the UK and even as far away as the Caribbean,” she told The Voice at the launch. “There is a real buzz on social media about the costumes.

“This year is going to be our first time on the road as a fully independent carnival band with our own truck and DJs. It’s going to be hard work, but great fun and I love doing what I do! We’re fully focused on making Vibrance bigger and better every year.“
