IN THE MONEY: Willow Smith
SINGER WILLOW Smith, daughter of actors Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, is holding her own in the superstar household with a reported net worth of $4 million, according to People magazine’s richest teen list.
The 10-year-old is said to have made her fortune from her 2010 hit song Whip My Hair and other ventures, which included lending her voice to a number of animated films.
She had previously starred alongside her father, Will, in the 2007 film, I am Legend and voiced the character of Baby Gloria in Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa with mother, Jada in 2008.
But the talented singer became a star in her own right when she stepped out of her famous family’s shadow and became a star in her own right, signing a record contract with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation music label.
The catchy Whip My Hair entered in the Top 20 of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and earned the young singer a BET award.
Big brother, Jaden, didn’t do too bad either. He is reportedly made $5 million following his role in last year’s remake of The Karate Kid.
Dad Will also was named the highest paid black actor in Hollywood, in the recent Forbes Rich List.
