TOURING RECORDING & INTERNATIONAL MANAGER
You will develop, operate and support a number of Jazz support schemes, awards and international operations. You will have a key role to play in marketing our services both nationally and internationally, raising the profile of Jazz Services, developing showcase opportunities for UK musicians abroad and securing funding. The post will entail international travel.
You will act as the frontline representative for Jazz Services in contact with bands, promoters, and the media and at a various meetings. Your responsibilities will include organising the selection of bands for the Touring Support Schemes, evaluation of touring operations and reporting to Jazz Services Board of Trustees. Salary up to £25k. Initially a three fixed term contract, with the possibility of permanency.
COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
You will communicate the aims and work of Jazz Services to the widest possible audience, raising the profile of the organisation and of jazz both in the UK and abroad. With external IT support you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Jazz Services website, database and podcasts, involving some research and data collection. The post also involves preparation of written reports, press releases, and some media contact.
The role includes an element of jazz education. There will be opportunities for some attendance at gigs and festivals. Salary up to £25k. Initially a three fixed term contract, with the possibility of permanency.
LISTINGS EDITOR
Your main responsibility will be the collection, updating and accuracy of gig listings on the Jazz Services website. This will involve contact with venues, promoters, agents and band leaders. Some writing and collation of copy to enhance gig listings will also be required. Knowledge of InDesign would be helpful.
This is a part-time position, initially three days per week, with a review after six months. Occasional irregular hours may be required. Salary up to £12k.
