FANTASIA WHO recently confirmed that she was pregnant with her second child after months of speculations, is rumoured to have lost a movie role after producers learned she was expecting.
She is now said to have taken a medical leave, which may put at risk her chances of playing Mahalia Jackson in the biopic about her life, reports website “Rhymes with Snitch.”
The rumours arose after she was advised by her doctors to cancel a concert at a hair show in Atlanta scheduled for this weekend.
On their Facebook page, organisers Bronner Brothers International Hair Show wrote: “Due to medical conditions, Fantasia has been placed on bed rest and will not be performing at the show. However, the lovely and talented Kelly Price is now scheduled to be the headliner for Saturday evening.”
Fantasia announced her pregnancy earlier this month while onstage at a charity concert telling the crowd: “You are the first that I share this news with,” the singer said as she placed her hand on her belly.
It is thought that the father of her unborn child is her boyfriend, Antwaun Cook. Fantasia also has a 10-year-old child from a previous relationship.
