Supporters donated more than $400k to fund the group's next album - which should have been released two months ago
TLC FANS who contributed in funding the iconic girl group's latest album, have become angry and impatient after the album failed to materialise.
Back in January, remaining TLC members T-Boz and Chili pleaded with fans to help fund their fifth and final album, entitled Ron Fair. Uninterested in taking the label route, the two surviving members asked fans to donate to the group’s Kickstarter, in hopes to raise $150,000.
The group made headlines when they exceeded their goal by raising $430,000 in one week. That included a $5,000 contribution from pop singer Katy Perry and $20,000 from New Kids on the Block.
With the financial part having been handled, loyal fans are now wondering why they haven't heard any new music from the duo.
According to the group’s Kickstarter page, the album was set for release in September, but has now been pushed back to 2016.
For some fans, that’s just not good enough, and they took to Twitter to air their grievances with the Grammy-Award winning group.
One fan even tweeted T Boz asking for a refund. The star seemed unfazed by the disgruntle fan, though, and told them to get in touch with Kickstarter so they could get their money back.

It has been nearly 13 years since their last album, 3D, which was released seven months after the death of third member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes.
On the Kickstarter page, the Creep stars said back at the start of the year: "We owe so much of our success to you [fans].
"Your loyalty and support throughout the past 20 years motivates us to do our best work. Without you, we wouldn't have ten top 10 singles and four number 1 singles.
"We wouldn't have won five Grammy awards or sold 65 million records worldwide. Without you, we wouldn't have become the most successful girl group of all time! Without you there would be no TLC!!"
They added: "This final album will be the first studio album by the two of us. Of course, Lisa's spirit will always be present in our music. That will never change."

Although fans have only now started to express their impatience, TLC did give an update on their Kickstarter page, letting their supporters know that the project had been delayed.
They wrote: "After seeing and greeting so many of you on our tour this summer, we took a short break and now we are in the studio recording our new album with Ron Fair, coming out in 2016. The music is coming out great and it's only with your support of TLC on Kickstarter that this is possible.
"We thank you and promise that we will continue rolling out all the Kickstarter prizes except the album by mid-October. We are moving the album back to 2016, so that we will have more time to finish the record the TLC way. Thanks as always for your love and support and we can't wait to deliver a new record and tour next year."
