BLACKPOOL goal poacher DJ Campbell is said to be the subject of a 1.25 million bid from Premier League newcomers Queens Park Rangers.
Rangers yet to make a move in the transfer market since winning promotion to the Premier League and manager Neil Warnock is now stepping up his bid to bring in new recruits.
Warnock recently said that he expected to sign a 'few new players' over the next couple of weeks and has made an offer for Campbell.
The nomadic forward enjoyed an impressive campaign in the top flight last season as he scored 13 goals during Blackpool's ultimately unsuccessful battle to avoid relegation.
Campbell has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave Bloomfield Road for 1.25m and QPR are understood to have met that figure.
Campbell's early career was in non-League football, between 2000 and 2005, when he moved into The Football League with Brentford.
He has also played in the Premier League with Birmingham City in the Championship and League One with Leicester City, League One with Brentford, as well as a loan spell with Derby County.
