Infinite Mas invites masqueraders to 'do it for the love'

DOING IT FOR THE LOVE: Infinite Mas' 2019 theme is Mi Amor

NOTTING HILL Carnival will be here before we know it. The west London streets will soon be filled with vibrant costumes, the sweet smells of Caribbean cuisine and the sounds of soca.

Mas bands and music are the heartbeat of any carnival and over the August Bank Holiday weekend, more than 60 will take to the streets for Europe’s biggest street festival.

With roughly six weeks to go, carnival preparations are already in full swing. But if you think you’ve left it too late to join a band, don’t fret, there’s still time to join in the festivities by signing up.

One band that will be on the road this year, for the fifth time, is Infinite Mas. They’re doing it “for the love of carnival” with their 2019 theme Mi Amor, which is both a love letter to the party spirit and the colour pink.

Soca artist and band designer, Louise Sterling-Jackman aka Ms Desire, said: “This is our fifth year on the road, which is an amazing milestone for us. Our theme Mi Amor means for the love of carnival to us. Everything we do is for the love of our culture, for the love of mas and with our masqueraders at the forefront of our minds! We invite everyone to join us to have an infinite carnival experience for Notting Hill Carnival 2019!”

This year, Infinite Mas will be joined on the road by a number of DJs from the UK and further afield, including Bajan superstar DJ Puffy, as they seek to give masqueraders the best carnival experience ever.

With costume packages starting from £85 and bikini, monokini and t shirt sections available, there’s something to suit every budget and style.

Right now, Infinite Mas are offering a 15 per cent discount if you use the code NHC19. But you’ll have to be quick, registration closes this Sunday (July 14).

All Infinite Mas costumes and t shirt packages include:
* Beautiful tailor-made costume

* Complimentary breakfast

* Complimentary lunch
